- Earth System Governance Project — A global research alliance on the governance of global environmental change, and the largest social-science network in the field; it convenes an annual conference and publishes the Earth System Governance journal.
- Future Earth — An international platform that connects and coordinates global research networks working toward sustainability transformations.
- International Society for Ecological Economics (ISEE) — The scholarly society for ecological economics, joining economic analysis with the ecological limits of the planet.
- National Sustainability Society (NSS) — A cross-sectoral U.S. professional society connecting academics, practitioners, and students advancing sustainability, with an annual conference and professional-development programs.
- Resilience Alliance — A research network studying resilience in linked social-ecological systems as a foundation for sustainability.
- Sustainability Transitions Research Network (STRN) — The international network for sustainability transitions research; founded in 2009 with over 3,000 members, it convenes the annual International Sustainability Transitions (IST) conference.
- Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) — A global network launched by the United Nations in 2012, mobilizing universities and research institutions to develop practical solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals.
- Well-being Economy Alliance (WEAll) — A global collaboration of organizations, movements, and individuals working to build economies designed for collective well-being within planetary limits.
