The Capacity Building for Sustainable Development (C4SD) research project investigates the strategic capacities needed to advance sustainable development.
Building on the framework developed in Clark & Harley (2020), the project focuses on six capacities:
- Promoting equity among people and generations
- Measuring progress toward sustainability goals
- Adapting to shocks and stresses
- Transforming development pathways
- Governing cooperatively across scales
- Linking knowledge with action
